what is the Best Execution in Practice course and what are the learning outcomes?
The Best Execution in Practice and the new requirements of the RTS 27 & 28 reports course has been developed by SALVUS Funds to provide professionals with the responsibilities and reporting obligations relating to Best Execution and prepare them for successfully passing an inspection by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).
Best Execution is a pivotal element of the European Directive on Markets in Financial Instruments (MiFID) II that outlines investor protection standards. In particular, the requirements for Best Execution have been designed to help European Investment Firms obtain the best possible results when executing client orders and ensure market efficiency and integrity. This self-paced course is designed to enrich the knowledge and expertise of professionals employed in Cyprus Investment Firms (CIF), Crypto-Asset Services Providers (CASP), and other CySEC regulated entities.
Professionals who undertake this course will gain competencies through practical examples to help identify areas of weaknesses within company policies and use their newly acquired knowledge to enhance procedural robustness, as well as be prepared for a Best Execution inspection by the regulator at any time.
The completion of this course counts towards Continuous Professional Development (CPD) annual requirements for CySEC Advanced and Basic certifications.
