what is the PRIIPs & MiFID II Product Governance course and what are the learning objectives?
Investment Firms subject to the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) II shall establish a product approval process, identify the target market of end clients for each financial instrument and assess all relevant risks. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the product governance requirements for manufacturers and distributors of investment products, along with their regulatory obligations in offering PRIIPs.
The course has been developed by SALVUS Funds. It aims to educate professionals on their obligations towards product governance requirements, investor protection, and provides them with valuable compliance insights for developing or reviewing Key Information Documents (KIDs). The instructor provides further compliance tips taken from the CySEC Circular C312 on the thematic review of the KIDs.
The self-paced PRIIPs & MiFID II Product Governance course is tailored for key position holders of CIF, AIFM, and other CySEC regulated entities. Professionals undertaking this course will be equipped with the necessary skills and competence to establish a product approval process, identify the target market of end clients, and develop the required KIDs through practical examples.
The completion of this course counts towards Continuous Professional Development (CPD) annual requirements for CySEC Advanced and Basic certifications.
